HIPAA TCS standards float in compliance limbo

Much of the U.S. healthcare industry is still struggling with HIPAA transactions and code sets (TCS) standards, according to an independent survey on HIPAA compliance. And although the recent deadline extension for TCS enforcement is a welcome reprieve, it's no panacea for healthcare providers struggling to bring their IT systems into compliance.
