A2z Radiology has raised $4.5 million in a seed round to accelerate commercial deployment of the company's triage system for abdominal/pelvic CT, as well as continued R&D toward broader imaging capabilities.
Khosla Ventures and SeaX Ventures participated in the funding round, the company said.
a2z-Unified-Triage received U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance in late November. It is the first system on the U.S. market designed to simultaneously search for seven acute findings on abdomen-pelvis CT scans, according to the firm.
Additionally, a2z presented findings from a study evaluating AI-assisted preliminary report drafting for abdomen-pelvis CT at RSNA 2025 that showed that AI assistance reduced reporting time by 17.8%, increased radiologist confidence by 14.8%, and decreased mental demand by 22.4%.
The seed funding will support partnerships with health systems and product development, as well as commercial deployment in 2026, a2z added.
