New Lantern launches mammography, PET/CT viewer modes

New Lantern has expanded its AI-powered radiology platform with two new viewer modes for mammography and PET/CT.

With these new viewer modes, New Lantern now serves the full spectrum of imaging modalities, the San Francisco-based company said.

Mammography Viewer Mode is optimized for both 2D and 3D mammography (tomosynthesis) and includes multimodality comparison (2D/3D mammography, ultrasound, MRI), prior study synchronization, AI-assisted annotation, built-in hanging protocols for screening and diagnostic workflows, and CAD overlay support.

The PET/CT Viewer Mode incorporates fused imaging with real-time scrolling, synchronized multiplanar views, and standardized uptake value calculations. Designed specifically for oncology workflows, the viewer features side-by-side and fused PET/CT display options, one-click lesion tracking with AI-assisted reporting across multiple studies, and synchronized multiplanar reconstruction between current and prior studies.

The two new viewer modes are available now and are integrated into New Lantern’s existing cloud-native platform.
