
Blackford and Us2.ai are partnering to bring echocardiography analysis tools to the Blackford Platform, which integrates artificial intelligence (AI) applications with medical imaging workflows.
The companies said machine-learning technology from Us2.ai can reduce the time to process and interpret echocardiograms from 30 minutes to under two minutes. The software analyzes all the heart chambers for studies acquired by echocardiographers. With the application, 2D and Doppler views are used to create an echo report with findings for heart structure and function.
The companies also said that cardiac measurements included in the software cover most standard measurements for adult transthoracic echocardiography recommended by the American and British Societies of Echocardiography and the European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging.
