Kheiron Medical Technologies has signed a distribution agreement with medical and laboratory equipment supplier Medtech to bring its Mia artificial intelligence (AI) breast screening software to Qatar.
Mia, which has received the CE Mark as an AI-enabled aid for breast cancer detection in Europe, was developed using more than 3 million breast images and helps breast radiologists to determine whether women need to be recalled for further screening after mammography, according to Kheiron.
Kheiron said Mia will also be available in the United Arab Emirates and Oman, pending local requirements.
