GE Healthcare announced it will integrate its Edison artificial intelligence (AI) platform with AI-LAB, a new software platform developed by the American College of Radiology (ACR) to enable radiologists to develop their own AI algorithms.
First launched at RSNA 2018, Edison features tools and services that allow clinicians to create AI algorithms using diverse datasets from various modalities and vendors, according to GE. Making the Edison digital platform compatible with AI-LAB will allow radiology professionals to more easily develop and deploy AI algorithms across hospitals and research centers, the company said.
AI-LAB was developed by the ACR Data Science Institute and was released on April 5.
