
Philips Healthcare will feature a range of new imaging and artificial intelligence (AI)-driven technologies at next week's RSNA 2017 meeting in Chicago.
The company will showcase a new configuration of its IQon spectral CT scanner, a new MRI scanner, and ProxiDiagnost N90 DXR -- the vendor's new premium digital radiography/fluoroscopy system.
In ultrasound developments, Philips will highlight a single-transducer package for small parts assessment. Utilizing the eL 18-4 PureWave linear-array transducer for small parts imaging, clinicians can assess diseases and disorders of small organs such as the breasts, testicles, and thyroid, as well as musculoskeletal injuries such as sprains and tears, according to the vendor.
The firm will also be pointing to a new Anatomical Intelligence feature for whole-breast ultrasound that aims to enhance screening and diagnostic workflow. In addition, Philips will display its new CardioMD IV cardiac SPECT and BodyMD general-purpose SPECT systems.
In imaging informatics, Philips will roll out the next iteration of its IntelliSpace Portal, which features an improved set of applications and workflows aimed at supporting reading and follow-up of complex imaging cases. The vendor will also unveil IntelliSpace Enterprise Edition for Radiology, an enterprise imaging package that provides radiologists single sign-on access to its IntelliSpace PACS, Ilumeo, IntelliSpace Portal, Universal Data Manager, DoseWise Portal, and PerformanceBridge offerings.
The company will also emphasize its collaboration with Nuance Communications to bring AI directly into radiology reporting, as well as discuss the benefits of new agreements with 3D printing firms 3D Systems and Stratasys.
