iCAD posts positive Q1

Computer-aided detection (CAD) technology developer iCAD said it boosted sales and income for its fiscal 2005 first quarter.

For the period (end-March 31) the Nashua, NH-based firm reported sales of $6 million, an uptick compared with sales of $5.4 million for the same quarter last year.

Net income improved to $712,000, a sharp turnaround compared with a net loss of $1.9 million in the same period a year ago.
