Siemens gets MGH install

Siemens Medical Solutions has installed its Axiom Artis dFC magnetic navigation system at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

The system, developed with St. Louis-based Stereotaxis, is a combination of Siemens’ Axiom Artis dFC digital fluoroscopic imaging equipment and Stereotaxis’ Niobe magnetic navigation systems. The digital imaging and navigation system is designed to help electrophysiologists improve the ease and accuracy of catheter-based procedures to facilitate interventional medicine, Siemens said.
