RARE technique shows benefits in MR colonography

Researchers from the Prince of Wales Hospital in Hong Kong used MRI with air as a contrast agent to look for colorectal polyps and carcinomas in 22 patients. The RARE protocol offers visualization benefits, they said, but other issues may have kept the sensitivity low for the detection of lesions 1 cm and smaller.
