Everybody loves a bargain, even when it comes to printers for full-field digital mammography (FFDM) images. But as with many things in life, the best price doesn't always equal best quality. Austrian researchers performed a head-to-head comparison of FFDM images printed with a wet laser and a paper printer, and found the wet laser far superior.

I-ELCAP data suggest need to work up secondary lung lesions

Lung cancer screening data from the I-ELCAP trial suggest that patients with secondary tumors might benefit from more aggressive management, and that metastases, at least in the predominant non-small cell lung cancers, may be less common than previously thought. The data also suggest that revisions in the current staging criteria may help save lives.
