Measuring cerebral metabolites with MR spectroscopy (MRS) could help mental health professionals tailor treatment regimens for elderly people with depression, according to Japanese researchers. A rather gutsy clinical study by Italian radiologists pitted state-of-the-art chromoscopic high-magnification colonoscopy against prepless virtual colonoscopy. The researchers found that advanced colonoscopy did a better job of identifying flat lesions, particularly the smallest ones.
