Pulmonary nodule decisions must be individualized

In dealing with the onslaught of pulmonary nodules from multidetector-row CT, radiologists are finding they need to hone their management strategies or risk being inundated. One strategy is based on established size and risk guidelines as well as individual patient factors and nodule morphology. Meanwhile, a new study suggests that gene-expression profiles could potentially improve the management of early-stage lung cancer patients.
