Mammography proved to be 97% effective in detecting ipsilateral breast tumor recurrence in women who had undergone breast-conserving surgery with radiation therapy for ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), according to a recent study that investigated the mammographic features, detection method, and stage of recurrence.

MR adds value to urodynamics for imaging stress urinary incontinence

The spectrum of abnormalities detected at MRI in women with stress urinary incontinence can be classified into two categories: findings related to urethral sphincter deficiency (ISD) and/or urethral hypermobility (UH). Researchers from Baltimore-based Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions assessed if MR findings could predict whether a patient had ISD or UH, and if those results could be correlated with urodynamics.
