SDMS taps Rybyinski to lead as president

The Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS) has tapped Aubrey Rybyinski to lead as SDMS and SDMS Foundation president.

Rybyinski works as clinical manager of the noninvasive vascular lab at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Pomona, NJ, where he also performs vascular ultrasound examinations.

From his early beginnings with an associate's degree from Rowan College of Gloucester County in 2007 to a bachelor's degree in diagnostic medical sonography from Advent Health University, Rybyinski has grown into the roles of national speaker and textbook author. In addition, he serves as a technical expert in supervising, evaluating, instructing, counseling, and training staff at AtlantiCare.

Rybyinski's other credits include representing the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) on the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) Work Related Musculoskeletal Disorders (WRMSDs) Practice Parameters in 2023, as well as executive, director, board liaison, and board representative roles.

With a focus on continuous quality improvement, Rybyinski's expertise spans a wide range of ultrasound applications. He will be sworn in at the 2025 SDMS Annual Conference in Denver, which begins September 18.
