Samsung Medison is consolidating its two U.S. medical imaging businesses -- Boston Imaging and NeuroLogica -- under a new unified brand, Samsung HME (Healthcare and Medical Equipment) America.
The rebrand brings the company’s U.S. ultrasound, digital radiography, and CT operations under one structure and follows recent portfolio activity including the introduction of the R20 and Z20 ultrasound systems with AI tools and the acquisition of Sonio, a French AI startup focused on prenatal ultrasound and fetal abnormality detection, according to the company.
Samsung HME America serves as the global headquarters and manufacturing hub for the company's CT business, which includes development of photon counting detector technology, the company noted.
