Bordeaux, France-based AI developer DESKi said that its HeartFocus cardiac exam software has been integrated into Butterfly Network’s handheld ultrasound devices.
The software, which is available as an app or as a software development kit, was cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration in April. With a few hours of training, any healthcare professional using HeartFocus can capture comprehensive echocardiographic views, according to the firm. This addresses the barrier in cardiac care of limited access to trained sonographers, DESKi said.
