Carolina Breast Imaging Specialists has become the first center in the U.S. to install a Seno Medical Instruments Imagio breast imaging system.
Launched at RSNA 2022, the Imagio system uses a combination of noninvasive ultrasound and optoacoustic technology to provide information about breast lesions in real-time, according to the vendor. It combines laser optics and grayscale ultrasound to provide fused functional and anatomical breast imaging, Carolina Breast Imaging Specialists said.
