Ultrasound software developer NovaSignal has secured approval from Health Canada to market in that country its NovaGuide Intelligent Ultrasound system.
NovaGuide is an autonomous, robotic system that identifies cerebrovascular signals, allowing users to monitor blood flow in the brain in real-time and thus to better diagnose brain illness, including stroke, the company said.
