Portable ultrasound developer Butterfly Network has raised $250 million from a group of investors, including Fidelity, Fosun Pharma, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.

The company's Butterfly iQ system is a personal whole-body ultrasound device that sells for less than $2,000. Butterfly Network plans to begin shipping the product to those customers who are already on its reservation list, according to the firm.
