SonoSite to supply U.S. government, military

Ultrasound developer SonoSite said it has signed a renewable agreement to provide its 180Plus and SonoHeart Elite handheld ultrasound systems to U.S.-owned hospital facilities and deployable operations within the government healthcare system.

U.S. vice president of sales Ronald Dixon said SonoSite has already shipped more than 90 systems to government agencies and the military. The contract will streamline the acquisition process by enabling U.S. agencies and the military to purchase the systems through the Defense Supply Center in Philadelphia, he said. SonoSite is based in Bothell, WA.
