SAN FRANCISCO - The Perspectives in Colorectal Cancer meeting opened September 8 in San Francisco with the good news that colorectal disease is declining, most likely due to increased screening of asymptomatic individuals. In another presentation, Dr. Tim Akhurst of the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City talked about FDG PET’s growing role in the treatment of colorectal neoplasia.
