Unexpected FDG-PET foci may signal subclinical tumors

FDG-PET is showing promise for detecting unexpected malignant and pre-malignant neoplasms other than the primary cancer for which the patient is scanned, according to the results of a study lead by Dr. Harry Agress, Jr. at Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey.
