A dedicated breast gamma camera beat both mammography and MRI for the detection of ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS), posting higher sensitivity ratings, according to a new study by Washington, DC, researchers. The study could add further fuel to the growing debate over the best modality to use when working up suspicious lesions detected on screening mammography.
