California researchers create new breast PET/CT system

Researchers from the University of California, Davis have developed a dedicated breast PET/CT scanner they believe could be an improvement over breast imaging with whole-body PET or positron emission mammography. They describe their preliminary results with the system in the September issue of the Journal of Nuclear Medicine.
