No, according to Korean clinicians who advocate a single modality exam with MRI for evaluating liver donors. Dutch researchers also recommend MR angiography (MRA) over digital substracation angiography (DSA) for assessing kidney donors.

New CPT codes set for coronary CT angiography

It doesn't guarantee reimbursement, but coronary CT angiography (CCTA) will have its own specific CPT codes as of January 1, 2006. Physicians should use other codes only in limited instances, experts say, and they'll also need to make sure they're reading the noncoronary areas on the images.

New research from multiple radiology departments using both digital radiography (DR) and computed radiography (CR) found that even a cassetteless version of the latter requires more time to complete a standard chest x-ray. But DR's productivity came at a price, as it still costs $50,000 to $75,000 more per year to operate.
