Toshiba installs 1st Aquilion Prime in U.S.

Toshiba America Medical Systems has completed the first installation of its Aquilion Prime 160 CT scanner in the U.S. at Steinberg Diagnostic Medical Imaging Center in Las Vegas.

Aquilion Prime is designed to generate 160 slices per rotation and features a 78-cm aperture gantry, a 7.5-MHU large-capacity tube, and 0.35-sec scanning for enhanced data acquisition, scan times, and patient throughput, according to the company.
