(Booth 3070) Israeli software developer Shina will highlight its applications for analyzing CT and angiography studies.

2008 11 05 12 57 28 507 Shina Adv 2008The firm's CardioCT, VascularCT, and CScoreCT are designed for cardiac and vascular image analysis, and they support segmentation of vessels in the heart and other areas of the body. The applications include plaque display, analysis, and classification, as well as calcium scoring. They have been available in the U.S. and the rest of the world since 2007.

AngioCT enables users to register CT and angiography data by measuring the 3D length of vessels on angiograms. It correlates CT tissue data with any position along the vessel on the angiogram image and recommends the optimal c-arm orientation for optimal view on the stenosis area.

The application can be used in general catheterization procedures for preplanning, and in complex catheterization procedures such as chronic total occlusion (CTO) for better views on problematic areas by using CT data. AngioCT has been shipping internationally since January 2008; it is pending U.S. Food and Drug Administration approval in the U.S.
