Mindray advances net revenues in Q3

Strong international sales powered Mindray Medical International of Shenzhen, China, to double-digit gains in third-quarter and nine-month net revenues (end-September 30).

In the third quarter, net revenues increased 11% to $168.3 million, compared with $151.1 million in the same quarter of 2009. International sales increased 18% to $99.2 million in the third quarter, compared with $84.3 million in the third quarter of 2009. The company also recorded net income of $35.9 million, compared with net income of $43.4 million in the same quarter a year ago.

Revenues from the company's medical imaging systems segment increased 17.5% to $42.7 million, compared with $36.4 million in the third quarter of 2009. The medical imaging systems segment contributed 25.4% to Mindray's total net revenues in the third quarter of 2010.

For the nine-month period, net revenues advanced 11% to $493.3 million, compared with $445.3 million in the same period of 2009. Net income increased to $114.4 million, compared with $101.8 million in the same nine-month period of 2009.
