The future of ultrasound is bright, but advancing new technologies requires dedicated market creation and scalability.

That was the take-home message from the keynote given by Omar Ishrak, PhD, former chairman and CEO of Medtronic. Ishrak spoke with AuntMinnie.com about how new advancements in ultrasound have promise in therapeutic imaging, how the basic rules of ultrasound will change as a result, and how creating value in commercialization efforts has its share of challenges.
