Sectra will roll out version 10.2 of its PACS software on the RSNA exhibit floor.
Available free of charge for customers with a software upgrade agreement, the new version includes an integrated multiplanar reformatting/maximum intensity projection (MPR/MIP) package, progressive image compression for short-term storage, and communication between workstations and storage.
"Smart" caching of large datasets has also been incorporated for increased display speed of image sets, particularly multislice CT studies. Sectra, based in Linköping, Sweden, has added a 3D application and a fully integrated cardiology PACS network.
In other product developments, Sectra will showcase a complete workflow package for digital mammography departments, including RIS integration, its digital mammography system, and its Breast Imaging PACS, which includes a multimodality workstation and integrated CAD software from R2 Technology of Sunnyvale, CA.
Sectra will also emphasize its global support center, highlighting its service tools, real-time monitoring, and 24/7 support capability in all its markets. Finally, the vendor will celebrate the five-year anniversary of its Clinical Solutions Network.
