Direct Radiography gets import approval in Japan

Digital radiography vendor Hologic of Bedford, MA, announced yesterday that the Japanese Ministry of Health and Welfare has granted approval to Hologic subsidiary Direct Radiography Corp. to import its DirectRay digital x-ray detectors into Japan. Direct Radiography president Tom Umbel said that negotiations are underway with several Japanese import partners to establish a distribution channel for the amorphous selenium detectors.
