Radiosurgery center operator American Shared Hospital Services (ASHS) has won a contract to supply a Gamma Knife Perfexion system to a New Mexico-based medical center.
The system will be an upgrade to an existing Gamma Knife unit at Lovelace Medical Center in Albuquerque that was installed by ASHS in 2003. Patients will start being treated with the device in May, according to ASHS.
This is the 10th Perfexion system ASHS has installed to date, ASHS said.
