GE lands Olympics MRI deal

GE Healthcare will be the sole supplier of MRI systems to the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.

The Chalfont St. Giles, U.K.-based vendor will install two of its Signa HDe 1.5-tesla scanners at the Olympic Village General Hospital. The scanners will be available for use on all competing athletes, GE said.
