Naviscan hires executives

PET developer Naviscan PET Systems of San Diego has made a number of new additions to its management team.

Hired as vice president of sales is Skip Mendelson, who has over 20 years of experience in medical imaging sales and marketing positions, including stints at R2 Technology, Trex/Lorad Medical Systems, and GE Healthcare.

Ashok Kaul has been named vice president of marketing. Kaul has held marketing and product development positions at Abbott Laboratories, Medtronic, St. Jude Medical, GE Healthcare, and Bacchus Vascular.

Naviscan's new vice president of market development is Guillaume Bailliard, who most recently was at GE Healthcare and has also worked for Genzyme Surgical in the course of his 10-year career in healthcare.

Finally, Christopher Matthews was named vice president of technology. Matthews has 12 years of medical imaging experience, including stints at Siemens Medical Solutions, Marconi Medical Systems (Picker), and Park Medical.

All four executives report to Naviscan president and CEO Paul Mirabella.
