SNM launches master's degree program

SNM of Reston, VA, is offering a master's-level degree program to help meet the growing demand for advanced imaging practitioners.

The Nuclear Medicine Advanced Associate (NMAA) degree is designed to prepare nuclear medicine professionals for additional responsibilities as new procedures are developed and as the range and utilization of imaging procedures expand.

The program currently is available at three universities: the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), Saint Louis University, and the University of Missouri-Columbia.

The program runs for five semesters of full-time enrollment. Students are accepted on a rolling basis and may begin the program in the fall, spring, or summer semesters. It is delivered through a combination of online and clinical instruction at facilities affiliated with UAMS and the three universities' partners.

Upon completing the program, students will earn a Master of Imaging Sciences degree from UAMS. The professional title will be NMAA, or Nuclear Medicine Advanced Associate. More information is available by clicking here.
