Riverain supplies SoftView to Siemens

Computer-aided detection (CAD) developer Riverain Medical of Miamisburg, OH, is supplying its SoftView enhanced chest imaging software to Siemens Healthcare of Malvern, PA.

Siemens is using SoftView to enhance its digital radiography (DR) systems with the software, which is designed to automatically suppress the ribs and clavicles to improve the visibility of soft-tissue structures in the lungs.

SoftView also uses existing chest x-rays to produce a soft-tissue image and eliminate additional dose and motion artifacts associated with dual-energy DR systems.
