A mammography reading station headlines eRad's introductions at this year's RSNA show.
Following U.S. Food and Drug Administration 510(k) clearance for soft-copy viewing of digital mammography images, eRad is introducing its PACS Mammography Workstation. The new workstation provides image review, distribution, and storage for full-field digital mammography (FFDM) images, according to the Greenville, SC-based vendor.
The firm's PACS Viewer has received mammography-specific hanging protocols, mirrored rendering tools including panning and magic glass zooming, support for R2 Technology's CAD markers, and BI-RADS support in reports, eRad said.
eRad said it has also bolstered the internal architecture of its PACS offering to support higher study volumes across more distributed imaging facilities. Called eRad PACS Enterprise, the system includes enhanced failover capabilities and data redundancy features, according to the vendor.
Images and reports data can be archived collectively or in individual archives based on any number of criteria; the data from all of the connected facilities is now accessible through a single worklist from any location, eRad said.
eRad has also improved account management functionality, allowing for dynamic group creation and properties. In addition, user accounts can be assigned to groups and modified globally across all connected sites, according to the firm. User accounts also remain customizable based on user preferences.
