TDK Medical has debuted DMC-1000 DICOM network appliance, a medical DVD and CD DICOM media creator.
DMC-1000 does not require a keyboard or monitor, and can automatically record exam studies sent to it via any network device. Equipped with a combination CD/DVD recorder, DMC-1000 also includes an internal hard disk for storing patient studies, according to the Garden City, NY-based company. TDK launched the product at the 2005 RSNA conference in Chicago last month.
TDK also showcased MDVD-700, a new network-compatible medical-grade DVD recorder and player. The product offers direct recording of color video images to DVD for imaging procedures such as fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and endoscopy, the company said. MDVD-700 allows administrators to distribute video images over networks and features the capability for search and retrieval of patient studies.
In addition to its new product offerings, the company unveiled a new Media Kit offering that includes TDK medical-grade DVDs and CDs bundled with thermal printing supplies.
