ECS permits referring physicians to enter patient information on a secure Web site and send the data directly to radiologists and radiologist assistants at the center. The service eliminates the time required for the usual call center relays.
Sunset employs board-certified fellowship-trained radiologists located in the U.S., and the company emphasizes the development of one-on-one rapport with the emergency room physicians who send images for interpretation, according to the company.
Sunset also offers HIPAA-compliant and Joint Commission-accredited service. While the firm's core business is nighthawk preliminary reads, it also offers final reads for those facilities that require them.
Some of Sunset's radiologists are based in Hawaii, but the remainder are located throughout the U.S.
