eVPX adds a diagnostic viewing package for its eWIX Web-based archiving service. Authorized eWIX users can now download diagnostic-quality images directly to the eVPX viewer or other DICOM viewers; all storage and archiving is performed at NCD with 50-GB storage capacity available at the eVPX workstation, according to the Eastlake, OH-based firm.
This approach allows for smaller facilities to begin using PACS technology without having to purchase a complete and costly system, NCD said. The eVPX viewer is available for $2,500.
