Voxar has incorporated PET and endoscopic functionality into Voxar 3D.

Voxar Pacs In version 4.2 of Voxar 3D, the Edinburgh-based vendor has added the ability to visualize and analyze PET image data, using 2-D, MPR, MIP, and 3-D color volume reconstruction tools.

Three-dimensional endoscopic visualization has also been included in Voxar 3D 4.2, providing for a “fly-through” perspective of hollow anatomic regions. MPR curves and cross-curves are generated for the endoscopic visualizer to interactively navigate through the hollow anatomic regions, according to the vendor.

Voxar has also added a site-wide licensing option for the software, allowing users to access to 3-D on PACS workstations, PCs, or laptops, the firm said. Voxar 3D 4.2 is slated for availability in February 2004, with a Japanese edition to follow in March 2004.

Version 2.3 of Colonscreen will be also on display, adding an “on-the-fly” DICOM reporting feature, which aids in automating report tasks. Colonscreen 2.3 also includes improved pathology coding, enhanced image quality, faster loading of datasets, and support for large datasets, Voxar said. It’s scheduled for release in March 2004.
