Image streaming technology provider RealTimeImage has added new reading capabilities, including streaming-based, 3-D image review and extended measurement tools. The San Bruno, CA-based firm said it has also improved overlay presentation and editing, and integrated support for DICOM printers and multi-head and high-resolution displays.
In an iPACS back-end advance, RTI has bolstered management and administration tools, and improved storage via hierarchical storage management (HSM) capabilities. The vendor has also broadened its support of the DICOM standard, including JPEG 2000 compression.
