Breast cancer interventional device firm SenoRx of Aliso Viejo, CA, will introduce several new improvements to its EnCor MRI biopsy system, designed to simplify the overall MRI biopsy procedure.

One of the new features that will be highlighted is an ultravisible obturator specially designed for axial or sagittal MRI viewing for improved lesion targeting. The new obturator also mates with a new postbiopsy clip that is inserted right through the back of the obturator, eliminating the extra step of reintroducing the biopsy driver for marker placement.

SenoRx will also present the EnCor block, which offers 13 positioning holes for more precise lesion localization, as well as its patent-pending Tri-Concave trocar tip, which facilitates easier movement through dense breast tissue.
