A 44.4% increase in revenue helped MRI accessories developer IRadimed to a profitable second quarter of 2021.

For the period (end-June 30), IRadimed had reported revenue of $9.8 million, up from $6.8 million for the second quarter of 2020. Net income meanwhile was $1.5 million, compared with a net loss of $2.1 million in the second quarter of 2020. The company attributed the improvement in profitability to the $3 million increase in revenue for the second quarter.

In a statement, president and CEO Roger Susi said that the financial results are a continuation of the growth trends seen over the last four quarters since the rise of COVID-19.
