Merit Medical's Wrapsody gains FDA designation

Disposable products developer Merit Medical Systems has received a breakthrough device designation from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its Wrapsody endovascular stent graft system, the company announced in a statement.

Wrapsody is a flexible, self-expanding endoprosthesis. Though the system is not yet available for sale, Merit intends to seek indication for its use in hemodialysis patients.
