Fluke launches radiation measurement tool

Fluke Biomedical is launching a new survey meter designed to provide radiation measurements with simplified data collection in a single tool for a variety of applications.

The RaySafe 452 survey meter is designed to provide radiation measurements that can be used in multiple situations, reducing the number of devices that technicians need to carry, according to the company. It can measure wall leakage, scattered radiation in a room, radiation from nuclear medicine exams, and control of treated patients.

The meter was designed to detect variations in background radiation levels thanks to its high sensitivity, and its flat and wide energy response delivers accurate readings without postprocessing. The meter automatically saves dose rate data every second, so the data can be analyzed later.

RaySafe 452 also sports a modern design with all parameters rendered with a single backlit display. Additionally, it includes an IP 64 rating, enabling it to be easily cleaned with water without damaging the device. RaySafe View software comes with the meter, making it easy to transfer data to a PC and log data quickly, easily, and efficiently, according to the company.
