Shine takes delivery of 1st production accelerator

Medical isotope firm Shine Medical Technologies on October 15 took delivery of the first production accelerator at its new medical isotope production campus in Janesville, WI.

The accelerator was built by compact neutron generator manufacturer Phoenix specifically for Shine's medical isotope project, the company said. It will be used to train staff and develop maintenance procedures ahead of Shine's construction of its commercial production facility, which will open in the spring of 2019.
