Medical equipment manufacturer Mindray Medical International of Shenzhen, China, is featuring upgrades to its M7 and DC-7 ultrasound systems at this week's RSNA meeting in Chicago.
The upgrades to the hand-carried M7 unit include enhancements in vascular, cardiology, and obstetrical calculation packages, and also automatic intima-media thickness (IMT) measurements. In addition, several new transducers will be available for applications such as obstetrics, interventional radiology, and shared service. The new transducers include the P12-4s, L12-4s, and L7-3s, as well as the P12-4s, which provides high-frequency imaging for abdominal, cardiology, and other applications.
Upgrades to the cart-based DC-7 system include new transducers and enhancements, such as 4D imaging, calculation packages, and DICOM connectivity. The upgrades will be available by the end of the year, according to Mindray.
