DISC launches QA Mamchex for Carestream

Canadian radiography quality control technology developer Diagnostic Imaging Specialists (DISC) of St. Malo, Manitoba, has launched its DISC QA Mamchex tool for use with Carestream Health's DirectView computed radiography (CR) mammography system.

QA Mamchex is an electronic meter that can be used to calibrate a mammography x-ray unit's automatic exposure control (AEC) to operate with Rochester, NY-based Carestream's DirectView CR mammography system, according to DISC.

The company will show the device at the upcoming RSNA meeting in Chicago.
